Not even one year with a new team and Baker Mayfield has been released by the Carolina Panthers. Mayfield has been injured for most of the year and even when healthy Mayfield has went 119/206 1,313 yards and 6 TD 6 INT. He has been part of a 3 way quarterback race between Mayfield, Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker. After the Bucs crazy comeback on Monday Night Football the Panthers playoff hopes have faded from slim to none.
After being waived on Monday, the Rams have picked up Baker Mayfield. The Rams currently have Bryce Perkins on their roster and John Wolford, however Wolford is dealing with a neck injury and is questionable for the Rams Week 14 matchup on Thursday night Vs. the Raiders. Mayfield will fly in to Los Angles on Tuesday and will be active for Thursday’s game. It will be Wolford starting if he can go and will be Mayfield if he can’t.
