Falcons Will Start Desmond Ridder For the Rest of the Season

When the Falcons selected Desmond Ridder with the 74th overall pick the only question was, when will he start. We have finally found out. Thursday morning Falcons Head Coach Arthur Smith said that Desmond Ridder will take over starting duties after their bye week. Ridder comes in after a 19-16 loss to the Steelers where (their then starting quarterback) Marcus Mariota went 13/24 for 167 yards 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Mariota will serve as Ridder’s backup, as the Falcons find out if they have their future quarterback.
