Game Previews - Week 5’s Sunday Slate

Week five of the NFL season is here! We have 11 games, as 4 teams are on their bye.

Jaguars (2-2) @ Bills (3-1) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 9:30 AM ET (London Series)

Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars will stay in London, as they take on the Buffalo Bills and Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Both of these squads won by over 14 points last week, as they both had had a good offense of the first day of October. The Jaguars will look to be the first team to win multiple games in London in one year. As for international games, Rodger Goodell said that the NFL could have a new NFL international game as early as next year.

Game Pick:

Jaguars 21 Bills 37

Titans (2-2) @ Colts (2-2) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 1:00 PM ET

The Indianapolis Colts will look to get good production from running back, Jonathan Taylor, in his first game of the season. Taylor just signed a 3 year, 42 million dollar deal, which means he will stay a Colt. The AFC South is jam packed, as everyone in that division is 2-2. The Titans played a good game last week, but I expect Anthony Richardson to play well. I think that Indianapolis will edge this one out.

Game Pick:

Titans 27 Colts 37

Saints (2-2) @ Patriots (1-3) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 1:00 PM ET

Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints will take on the New England Patriots. Derek Carr struggled last week, but I expect him to pick it up this week, and do well. As for New England, Mac Jones got benched in last weeks game, but will still start this week. I expect New Orleans to have a clean game, and make very few mistakes. I expect Carr to have over 250 yards, and at least 2 touchdown passes.

Game Pick:

Saints 24 Patriots 10

Ravens (3-1) @ Steelers (2-2) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 1:00 PM ET

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens will look to follow up the victory last week, with a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, third division rivals. Baltimore won 28 to 3 last week against the Cleveland Browns, and are favored by 4.5 points to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last week, the Steelers got blown out by the Houston Texans, and again where Kenny Pickett threw for only 114 yards, and one interception. I expect it to be similar for both teams, and the Ravens to got to 4-1.

Game Pick:

Ravens 27 Steelers 11

Texans (2-2) @ Falcons (2-2) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 1:00 PM ET

The Houston Texans will have to rally behind the two game win streak, as they head to Atlanta to take on Desmond Ridder and the Atlanta Falcons. The Texans blew out the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, and the week before they blew out the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Falcons, they come off of a game in London, where they lost to the Jaguars. They are on a two game losing skid, but I hope to turn it around this week at home.

Game Pick:

Texans 27 Falcons 13

Panthers (0-4) @ Lions (3-1) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 1:00 PM ET

The Panthers look to get their first win of the season, they are the last team left in the NFL that has yet to win again. Bryce Young had over 200 years last week, but were still unable to get a win, so they lost by 8 to the Minnesota Vikings. The Detroit Lions got their third win of the season last week, as they beat the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football. They are currently riding a two game win streak, and I expected to turn into a three-game win streak, as the Panthers will fall again.

Game Pick

Panthers 7 Lions 34

Giants (1-3) @ Dolphins (3-1) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 1:00 PM ET

The New York Giants will look to try to get back to the winning ways, but they will take on the Miami Dolphins, one of the top offenses in the NFL. Miami is favored to win by 12.5 points, and I expect them to win by way more than that. Devon Achane has emerged as one of the best running backs in the NFL, as the rookie is averaging over 100 yards per game this year. I expect a blowout on this game, as Miami will steam roll through the New York Giants.

Game Pick:

Giants 14 Dolphins 41

Bengals (1-3) @ Cardinals (1-3) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 3:05 PM ET

Joe Burrow and the Bengals look to get their second win of the season, as they take on the Arizona Cardinals. Just jobs been playing pretty good as of late, he has yet to have thrown an interception this year. He has got just over 800 yards on the year, and it's looking like a very good back up for when Kyler Murray get back. The Bengals, on the other hand have not been playing well, as they got blown out by the Tennessee Titans last weekend. The Bengals have a a -45 point differential, is there sheets and has not gotten off to a good start. I expect that to continue, as the Cardinals shock the Bengals.

Game Pick:

Bengals 9 Titans 27

Eagles (4-0) @ Rams (2-2) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 4:05 PM ET

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles willing to continue their undefeated start to the season, as they take on Matthew Stafford, and the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams have two very good wide receivers, as Cooper Kupp, who is coming back from injury, and Puca Nacua, Who has emerged as one of the best wide receivers in the National Football League. I expect the Rams to put up a lot of points, but ultimately not enough to knock off AJ Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles

Game Pick:

Eagles 31 Rams 27

Jets (1-3) @ Broncos (1-3) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 4:25 PM ET

Nathaniel Hackett and the New York Jets will look to get their revenge on Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos, after the comment Sean Payton made towards Nathaniel Hackett in this year's off-season. Russell Wilson has done for over 1000 yards already this year, nine touchdowns and two interceptions. As for Zach Wilson, he has four touchdown passes, but also has four interceptions. I expect the Jets to be able to get a victory in this game, and be able to send the Broncos down to 1-4.

Game Pick:

Jets 31 Broncos 17

Chiefs (3-1) @ Vikings (1-3) - Sunday, Oct. 8 - 4:25 PM ET

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, head to Minnesota, to take on Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota was able to get their first win of the season, as they were able to beat the Carolina Panthers 21-13. As for the Chiefs, there were able to narrowly take down Zach Wilson and the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football. I think that Patrick Mahomes will absolutely tear up the Minnesota defense, and the Chiefs will cruise to an easy victory this weekend against the Minnesota Vikings.

Game Pick:

Chiefs 31 Vikings 13
