Game Previews: Week 6’s Sunday Slate

Week six of the NFL season is here! We have some intriguing matchups, as we near mid season.

Ravens (3-2) @ Titans (2-3) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 9:30 AM ET (London Series)

The final London game of the NFL season is here! Lamar Jackson, and the Baltimore Ravens and Derek Henry and the Tennessee Titans will meet up at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as they battle each other in the final game of the London NFL series this year. I expect this to be a very close game, with the Ravens offense, just barely outlasting the Titans defense late in the game. The Ravens have averaged 146 yards per game on the ground, and I expect that to lead them to victory.

Game Pick:

Ravens 31 Titans 24

Commanders (2-3) @ Falcons (3-2) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 1:00 PM ET

Sam Howell, and the Washington Commanders will look to come into Atlanta, and steal a win from the Falcons, who have just snapped a two game losing streak. Washington is currently in the middle of a three game skid, and in each game that they played, they have given up at least 34 points. I expect Bijan Robinson to continue impressing, as he is averaging 5.4 yards per carry so far this season.

Game Pick:

Commanders 17 Falcons 33

Seahawks (3-1) @ Bengals (2-3) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 1:00 PM ET

The Seattle Seahawks come off of their bye week, as they will head to Cincinnati, where they have the Cincinnati Bengals waiting for them. Joe Burrow and the Bengals were able to pick up a victory last week, as Ja'Marr Chase finally had his first explosive game, going off for 192 yards and three touchdowns. However, I expect to Seattle defense to play very well this week, and keep the Bengals offense in check. I doubt the Bengals will be able to follow it up with another one, and a loss this week will put them in some serious jeopardy of potentially missing the playoffs.

Game Pick:

Seahawks 28 Bengals 17

Colts (3-2) @ Jaguars (3-2) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 1:00 PM ET

Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars will be hosting Gardner Minshew and the Indianapolis Colts, as Anthony Richardson has been placed on IR, and is out for the next four games at least. I expect Gardner Menshew to be picked off at least once, and the Jacksonville defense will do amazing. I think the Trevor Lawrence will also have a very methodical game, as the Jaguars will block the Colts, and advance to 4-2.

Game Pick:

Colts 19 Jaguars 35

Panthers (0-5) @ Dolphins (4-1) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 1:00 PM ET

The Carolina Panthers look at pick up their first win of the year, but it will not be easy, as they face, one of the best offense in the league, the Miami Dolphins squad. Miami is favored to win by 14 points, as they have been averaging 522 total yards per game this year. I expect Bryce Young to have a horrible game, as his stint in the NFL has not been very pleasant. I spent the Dolphins to win by over 25 points, as the dolphins look to continue to be the most dangerous offense in the NFL.

Game Pick:

Panthers 13 Dolphins 48

Vikings (1-4) @ Bears (1-4) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 1:00 PM ET

Kirk Cousins and Minnesota Vikings will travel into Chicago, as they will take on Justin Fields and the Bears. Last week, Minnesota lost to the Chiefs, and the Bears beat the Commanders on Thursday Night Football. Chicago snapped a 14 game skid, as they were able to get a 20 point win. I expect a very close game in this one, but not having Justin Jefferson will be too much for the Vikings to manage, as the Bears win in a close one.

Game Pick

Vikings 24 Bears 27

49ers (5-0) @ Browns (2-2) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 1:00 PM ET

San Francisco 49ers and Brock Purdy will look to stay undefeated, as they head into Ohio, to take on Deshaun Watson in the Cleveland Browns. The 49ers are favored to win by 9.5 points, but I expect a much bigger victory from Kyle Shanahan's squad. Purdy has yet to throw an interception this year, as he has nine touchdown passes and 1271 yards. Christian McCaffrey is averaging just over 100 yards per game, rushing, and over one touchdown per game on the ground. I expect a blowout in this one, as the 49ers cruise to 6-0.

Game Pick:

49ers 37 Browns 6

Saints (3-2) @ Texans (2-3) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 1:00 PM ET

Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints will look to get a victory this weekend, as they head to Houston to take on CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans. Stroud has been playing a very good, and methodical game so far in his NFL career, as he has yet to throw an interception so far. I expect him to have a pretty good game, with at least least 2 total touchdowns. If he is able to do those two things, Houston will pull off the upset.

Game Pick:

Saints 13 Texans 22

Patriots (1-4) @ Raiders (2-3) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 4:05 PM ET

Mac Jones would try to turn around his performance, after two lackluster games, as he will head into Las Vegas, to take on Jimmy Garoppolo and the Las Vegas Raiders. I expect Mac Jones to have a horrible game again, get benched again, and that he will not be starting next week, against the Buffalo Bills. I think that Jimmy Garoppolo will be a great pocket passer in this game, as the Raiders move to .500.

Game Pick:

Patriots 6 Raiders 24

Lions (4-1) @ Buccaneers (3-1) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 4:25 PM ET

The Lions and Buccaneers will each try to keep their surprising start to this season going, as they play each other in Tampa Bay. I think that Jared Goff will have a pretty good game, throwing for at least 250 yards, and 2+ total touchdowns. I expect a very high scoring affair, as both teams passing games are going to be very good. I think there will be at least 70 total points, as Detroit barely wins.

Game Pick:

Lions 37 Buccaneers 34

Cardinals (1-4) @ Rams (2-3) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 4:25 PM ET

Joshua Dobbs and the Arizona Cardinals head into California, where they play Puka Nacua, and the Los Angeles Rams. Puka had 71 yards and 1 touchdowns last week, and Cooper Kupp had 8 receptions and 118 yards. I expect a relatively close game in this one, as they Cardinals pass rush will be able to disturb Matthew Stafford, getting a few extra drives to end earlier then they should have.

Game Pick:

Cardinals 20 Rams 24

Eagles (5-0) @ Jets (2-3) - Sunday, Oct. 15 - 4:25 PM ET

The Philadelphia Eagles will try to stay undefeated, as they travel to East Rutherford, to take on Zach Wilson and the New York Jets. The Eagles were able to go 6-0 last year, so why can't they do it this year. Zach Wilson had thrown more interceptions then touchdowns passes this year, as Breece Hall is the main weapon for New York. I expect a surprisingly close game, but Philadelphia will ultimately win.

Game Pick:

Eagles 24 Jets 20
