LeBron Passes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar For The All-Time Scoring Record

LeBron James backed his defender in, took a step back and let the ball fly. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record of scoring 38,387 points was considered by many as a record that would never be broken. However, James came into this game only 36 points away from being the new scoring king. With 10.9 seconds remaining in the third quarter, LeBron hit a fadeaway jumper to put him at 38,388 points, passing Abdul-Jabbar. James will most likely cross 40,000 points this season, and as many said about Kareem's record, I don't think the NBA will ever have a new scoring king.
