Another Chief has gone down before the season starts! On Tuesday, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce hyperextended his knee in practice. While he doesn't seem to have done any horrible to his ACL, he has some pretty bad swelling on his knee. His status for the Chiefs and Lions game on Thursday night is unknown. The Chiefs will evaluate how his knee is tomorrow and Thursday and then decide whether or not he will play. If Kelce is not available, Blake Bell and Noah Gray will take his spot. Also, star defensive tackle, Chris Jones, is also doubtful to play on Thursday. He and the Chiefs are currently in the middle of a contract dispute. Jones is holding until a new deal is finalized. Jones signed a 4 year $80 million dollar contract a few years ago, but is trying to get a new deal for longer, and more money.
This sucks, really hope he can play!
