Game Preview: Week 8’s Sunday Slate

Updated: Nov 5, 2023

Week eight of the NFL season is here!

Rams (3-4) @ Cowboys (3-3) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 1:00 PM ET

Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams will head to Dallas, to take on Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. I expect Puka Nacua to have another great game in this one, with at least one hundred yards against Los Angeles. I expect Dak Prescott struggle a little bit, with at least 1 interception. I think Dak will throw for at least 1 touchdown, and run for at least one touchdown, but won't be able to win.

Game Pick:

Rams 37 Cowboys 27

Vikings (3-4) @ Packers (2-4) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 1:00 PM ET

Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings head to Wisconsin, as they take on Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers. I expect this game to be a blowout, as Minnesota will have their best game of this season. Kirk Cousins will have at least 300 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. I think that Jordan Addison will have at least 100 receiving yards, as he had looked like a very good receiver while Justin Jefferson is out.

Game Pick:

Vikings 37 Packers 6

Falcons (4-3) @ Titans (2-4) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 1:00 PM ET

Desmond Ridder and the Atlanta Falcons will take on Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. I expect this game to end up going into overtime, and actually be the first tie of the season. I think a lot of field goals are going to happen, but ultimately Tennessee will score a late touchdown, to make it 13-13 at the end of regulation. Then, they both get field goals, and the game is a tie.

Game Pick:

Falcona 16 Titans 16

Saints (3-4) @ Colts (3-4) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 1:00 PM ET

Gardner Minshew and the Indianapolis Colts will host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon. Both of these teams are looking to get to .500, and I expect this to be a surprisingly close game. I think New Orleans will pull away early, but Minshew's magic will get the Colts back in it. If this happens, I would expect the Colts to pull off a surprisingly upset, and put themselves in the playoff picture.

Game Pick:

Saints 27 Colts 30

Patriots (2-5) @ Dolphins (5-2) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 1:00 PM ET

Mac Jones and the New England Patriots come off of a shocking victory over the Buffalo Bills, as head coach, Bill Belicheck, got his 300th career victory as a head coach. I expect Miami's offense to take off in this one, as Tua will have 400+ yards, and will be rested in the fourth quarter. I think that Jaylen Waddle will have himself a day, having at least 2 receiving touchdowns. I would be shocked if they lose this one.

Game Pick

Patriots 17 Dolphins 44

Jets (3-3) @ Giants (2-5) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 1:00 PM ET

Zach Wilson and the New York Jets will look to get a victory in this one, as they face their MetLife Stadium rivals, the New York Giants. I think this will be a blowout, as the Jets defense will lock down the Giants offense, and Zach Wilson will have an excellent offensive performance, as the Jets will dismantle the Giants. I think that it will be close for a bit, but the Jets defense will play great. I think the Giants will have 0 points at halftime!

Game Pick:

Jets 31 Giants 7

Jaguars (5-2) @ Steelers (4-2) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 1:00 PM ET

The Jaxonville Jaguars will take their squad into Pittsburgh, as they will take on Kenny Pickett and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I am surprised that the the Steelers are 4-2, as their last 2 wins have been sloppy, but they have got the job done nonetheless. I think this will be a quarterback battle, and it will be up to the defenses, as to see who can get a stop. Regardless of who wins, I think that the defensive line will be massive for the winning team late in the game.

Game Pick:

Jaguars 31 Steelers 28

Eagles (6-1) @ Commanders (3-4) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 1:00 PM ET

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles head to Washington to take on Sam Howell and the Washington Commanders. I expect this game to be an absolute blowout, as Washington just isn't as good as Philadelphia. I think AJ Brown will have a monster game, as he has been amazing for them. Brown is on pace for just over 1,965 yards this year. I think that Philly will win this game by at least 14 points.

Game Pick:

Eagles 37 Commanders 17

Texans (3-3) @ Panthers (0-6) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 1:00 PM ET

CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans will head to Carolina, to take on Bryce Young and the winless Carolina Panthers. I expect Houston to end up being a lackluster team down the line, after giving fans some hope early in the season. However, this game will be one of their best all around ones for Houston, as Stroud will look like a veteran quarterback, despite being a rookie. I expect an easy win for Houston.

Game Pick:

Texans 37 Panthers 17

Browns (4-2) @ Seahawks (4-2) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 4:05 PM ET

PJ Walker and the Cleveland Browns will head into Seattle, where they will take on Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks. I expect this game to be a surprisingly easy one for Seattle, as they won't play much better, but will make good plays when they need to. I expect Cleveland to have a trip to the Redzone early, But will fumble It away on that drive. This will end up being an issue, as Seattle will get the victory in this one.

Game Pick:

Browns 10 Seahawks 34

Chiefs (6-1) @ Broncos (2-5) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 4:25 PM ET

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will head to Denver, where they will take on Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs have beaten the Broncos 16 straight times, and I expect them to make it 17. Kansas City doesn't usually blow them out, but I expect this game to be different, as they will win by at least 20 points. I expect Travis Kelce to get at least one touchdown, as the Chiefs will win.

Game Pick:

Chiefs 37 Broncos 13

Ravens (5-2) @ Cardinals (1-6) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 4:25 PM ET

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens will head to Arizona to take on Josh Dobbs and the Arizona Cardinals. This may be Dobbs's last game starting as a Cardinal this season, as Kyler Murray is 'fully healthy', but won't be activated for this game. He is still in the 21 day window, as he will have to be added back to the 53 man roster. I expect the Ravens to dominate, a Lamar has himself a day.

Game Pick:

Ravens 37 Cardinals 27

Bengals (3-3) @ 49ers (5-2) - Sunday, Oct. 29 - 4:25 PM ET

Joe Burrow and the Bengals head to California, to take on Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers on 'America's Game of the Week'. The 49ers are on a shocking 2 game losing streak, after starting the season 5-0. I expect them to get back in the win column however, as the Bengals aren't so good themself. Cincinnati is on a 2 game winning streak, but they started the season 1-3. I think that San Francisco will edge this one out.

Game Pick:

Bengals 24 49ers 30
